Hello World!

The word grandma means so much to me. My mom's mom is one of my favorite people on the planet. My grandma is an amazing woman, she is headstrong, ambitious, compassionate, caring, and did I mention she is a mother of seven? This woman can do no wrong in my eyes. Her name is also one of my middle names which makes her such a special person.
My grandma has had one of the biggest impacts on me when it comes to music. My very first memory of her is her singing and dancing. My grandma loves music, my grandma is music to me. She is always singing and that rubbed off on me and my sister. My grandparent's house is never quiet she is always talking or singing. I'm pretty sure my grandma loves all types of music but I think she has more of an inkling for jazz. My grandma pretty much taught me how to sing, she taught me everything I know about music. I love singing and I love playing the piano and I have my grandma to thank for that.
My grandma can be firey when it comes to her passions. She is an amazing mother and a hard worker. She was a successful real estate agent which is something I never really knew because she's grandma. You know? Sometimes for me at least, it is hard to think about your grandparents being people who have lives, and people who have done things. I hold my grandma to a high standard, I put her on a pedestal. She is a woman that I look up to besides my mom. I love her and I strive to be her. She's a successful black woman, who was not only successful in her career, but successful in her marriage and with her children.
I got my love for music for my grandma, I am always singing all the time, sometimes I sing my sentences (because I'm weird). I am also firey when it comes to my passions. Like my grandma when I set my mind to something I am unstoppable. My grandma is part of my heart and I don't know where I would be without her encouragement. I love my grandma and I always will.
Another day as an adult (who loves her grandma)......damn,
Tasha
